Du Royaume goth au Midi mérovingien

The 1600th anniversary (418/419) of the installation of the Visigoths by Emperor Honorius for nearly a century, with Toulouse for royal residence, coincides with the publication of those deeds. This scientific synthesis, the first of its kind for more than thirty years, makes it possible to examine the progress of research especially in the field of preventive funerary archeology (unpublished archaeological sites) on this historical period, between Antiquity and the Middle Ages. Five themes divides that : The Goths on both sides of the Pyrenees: the written sources, Power and memory in the city, Funerary archeology and Eastern German furniture of Aquitaine and Spain between the fifth and sixth centuries, Territories, contacts and material culture, and finally Archaeological News: Merovingian Gaul.
