This book is devoted to Roman settlements and communication lines on the territory of contemporary Serbia, between the 1st and 6th century AD. It was written with the intention to bring together, in a single text, the large amount of historical, literary, epigraphic and archaeological data related to this vast and strategically important territory. This volume is dedicated to specialists, historians and archaeologists as well as to the general public. It is, in fact, an attempt to illustrate the stages of development of settlements and roads in this part of the Empire, whose history is marked by major historical and social changes.
