« Le Monnayage en argent de la réforme de Dioclétien (294-312 p.C.) » seeks to take stock of the main aspects of this major episode in Roman imperial numismatic. The documentation introduced here considerably enriches our knowledge of coinage both original and, in a way, “restored” by the Tetrarchy founder. The detailed catalogue of coins emitted in the different mints alone represents, with described varieties, more than triple the material as of yet identified (1048 varieties in total). Finally, a very rich illustration allows for an easy consultation of a book first of all intended, by the author’s very admission, as a research manual.
