Publications on ancient Rome are countless, but until now, there has been no publication of an easily searchable collection of topography and archeology documents historical survey. Structured in five parts - Urbs and the world, Urbs-Roma, its center, its neighborhoods, its region and the suburbium - this book aims to fill this void by bringing together more than 1500 graphic documents (maps, plans, sections, elevations, numismatic representations etc.), Enhanced by inscriptions and a selection of texts, this documentation follows topographic, diachronic and thematic criteria and covers all the fields of the history of Rome, from the end of the 3rd century BC to the begining of the 4th centyry AD. Its ambition is to provide effective scientific information as well as a convenient book to consult.
