Peintures et stucs d’époque romaine. Études toichographologiques

This volume of Pictor, fourteenth of the AFPMA collection, features the proceedings of the thirty-fourth annual AFPMA conference held at the Royal Museum of Mariemont in Belgium. Thirty papers highlight the vitality of studies on painted and stuccoed decorations from Roman Antiquity. In addition to recent archaeological discoveries from Gaul, Germania, Italy, and Hispania, as well as new iconographic studies, restoration and enhancement projects, special emphasis is placed on the intersection of approaches and methods. Multispectral analyses, petroarchaeology, archaeometry, and even robotics and 3D modelling have now become integral tools for toichographologists, alongside archaeological analysis, iconography, archival research, and the study of ancient sources.
