Une koinè pontique : cités grecques, sociétés indigènes et empires mondiaux sur le littoral nord de la mer Noire, VIIe s. a.C. -
This book contains the contributions of twenty nine leading specialists in the ancient history and archaeology of the Northern Black sea region working in nine different countries. Their articles are based on papers given at a congress held as the institute Ausonius in Bordeaux. The congress was organised in the framework of the project "Scytho-Samaritan World and the Greco-Romain Civilisation" of the International Union of the Academies. It was held under the aegis of the Union. The articles gathered in this book allow the reader to get a clear idea of the complex and original phenomenon of the North-Pontic koinè. Besides several articles introduce new sources, published here for the first time: insciptions, coins and results of archaeological excavations or of researches in archives.
