Thanat'Os 1
Le regroupement des morts. Genèse et diversité archéologique
The new series Thanat’Os intends to publish collectively work concerning funerary archaeology. Its objective is to continue the success of the seminars held regularly during the last few years by the ‘Maison des Sciences de l’Homme d’Aquitaine’. Thanat’Os seems an appropriate way to ease contact and respond to the necessary curiosity of the students and professionals involved in this domain. The publications will favour an interdisciplinary approach to funerary archaeology (both preventive and programmed) and cover all periods. First choice will be given to studies assembled around the same theme developed by researchers from various horizons having different perceptions, an enriching source for all those interested by the large field of study that the phenomenon of death in ancient societies represents. Monographs or innovative work concerning methodology may also be included. Thanat’Os wishes to be a collection accessible to everyone and to all those whose passion and enthusiasm will make it thrive.
