This book is the end-product of a symposium organised by the Association pour la Promotion des Recherches sur l’Âge du Bronze (APRAB) in Rennes in 2018. It takes stock of our knowledge of the Early Bronze Age around the Atlantic Arc and its peripheries in the light of recent discoveries and studies. Rescue archaeology and new methodological approaches (aDNA and isotopes, Bayesian modelling, LiDAR, etc.) have facilitated an extensive renewal of the documentation and of problem areas such as mobilities and landscapes. The choice of a broad chronological span, from the mid-3rd to mid-2nd millennia, also made it possible to address questions about the onset of the Early Bronze Age and the importance of the Bell Beaker phenomenon. A fresh look at the corpus of data has meant new interpretations can be proposed in terms of migration, integration and transfers of technical and intellectual knowledge that resonate with contemporary European issues. The processes of dissemination and interconnection proposed in the summary articles illustrate perfectly the complexity of material developments and changes in thinking as well as their impact on regional cultural groups over large areas.
